Training job interview - the program

Recruiter – 1 day

Job intake: what is it really about in this position? What are the critical incidents? And how do you make the translation to function content and competences? Which psychological characteristics are essential? How do you manage the expectations of your (internal or external) customer?

Telephone interviewing: in many cases an integral part of the recruitment process. How do you get structured information in a short time that can lead to a yes / no decision? How do you develop relevant killer questions? How do you make suitable candidates enthusiastic and complete a telephone interview?

Personal interview: here you learn how to apply the principles of the STAR and in-depth interview to be able to conduct a structured selection interview. Training based on practical cases. You learn how to prepare, take and evaluate the interview (scoring). You will also learn how to brief a hiring manager.

Judgment: judging whether a candidate is suitable for a certain position. What evidence did you get? What connections can you make between function, critical incidents, the information from the job interview and the required competences? In this section you learn mainly to classify and interpret acquired information.

Giving feedback to candidate: an important part! For both a candidate you want to hire and a candidate you want to reject (reputation). If your selection process has yielded relevant information, comparison of candidates is more transparent and hiring- or rejection-decisions can be well substantiated.

Hiring manager – 1/2 day

Personal follow-up after the training (coaching)

The personal follow-up after the training job interview consists of completing a personality questionnaire online and an additional telephone coaching interview.

To interview professionally, an objective attitude is essential. While interviewing, you have to manage your own bias, but usually you have no insight into our own bias. With our personality questionnaire and the telephone coaching interview you gain insights into how your personality structure influences your way of interviewing. These insights will help you to interview more objectively and professionally.

Thanks to this additional coaching you will gain more job interview skills and get the most out of this interview training. You will receive Starcheck’s personality report upfront the telephone coaching interview. After the telephone coaching interview Starcheck will delete your data so you are the only one who can possess this data.

Additional information interview training

The training job interview is given by an experienced assessment psychologist

Each training has a maximum of 10 participants. With less than 6 participants, Starcheck may shift the training to a different date.

The training job interview is given in an inspiring environment at Strijp S in Eindhoven.

Strijp-S is easily accessible by public transport. The car can be parked in front of the office.

The 1-day training includes lunch and the 1/2-day training will be finished with a savory bite.

After registration you will receive a confirmation and an invoice. We ask you to pay the invoice before the training starts.

Cancellation is free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the training. Thereafter the full amount will be charged.
